I've never seen so many cases of heat exhaustion and heat stroke in my life. The apothecary and potions shop down the way from the hospital is completely out of ice all potions, which only leads me to believe there are more cases out there of heat related problems that people are not reporting. It worries me greatly as I've heard that there have been at least a case or two of muggle death because of the heat.
I urge everybody to put up cooling charms, drink loads of water and stay indoors between the hours of 11:00am and 5:00pm if they can do so. Those are the peak times for the heat to be at it's hottest and if you do need to go out make sure to take plenty of water, wear light colored clothes, hats and sunscreen. Stay in the shade and do not let your pets outside, specifically crups as they may end up burning the pads of their feet on the cobblestones.
If anybody is having the following symptoms, you may have heat exhuastion, please seek medical attention:
* heavy sweating
* paleness
* muscle cramps
* tiredness
* weakness
* dizziness
* headache
* nausea or vomiting
* fainting
As well if anybody is experiencing those symptoms and no sweating, hot, dry skin you may have sun stroke and you need to seek medical attention as well.
I hope everybody stays safe.
Congratulations to the girls in the Quidditch Calender, I've yet to see it but I've been hearing it's quite popular. Excellent work I'm sure, done by all.
